Happy Pigs Make Good Pork

Part of the reason why the meat from our pigs at Kezmar Organic Farm is so good is because the pigs live a very good life. Our pigs live in the cool fresh interiors of St. Ann, Jamaica where they get plenty of fresh air, free from pollutants. Our pigs are fed a diet of seasonal crops, which includes, avocados, apples, potatoes, bok choy, broccoli, local feed, and non-genetically modified corn that we grow our self. The pigs get plenty of belly rubs and ear scratches and are allowed to play freely all day long.

Our pigs are exposed to daily human activities and have plenty space to move around. We take extra care in the handling of our pigs because research shows that the meat quality can be negatively affected is they live in a stressful environment; this results in lower muscle pH in the pigs as well as paler color on pork.

Our customers rate the pork from Kezmar Farm as “the best quality pork they have eaten in a very long time”. The pork is lean, natural, fresh, flavorful, and humanely raised, which results in the finest quality. We sell pigs from our farm; not from a factory.
